Tall case brass dial clock, 1774.

Walnut tall-case clock. The hood has a molded flat pediment with a molded cornice and a glazed door with a square opening. Waist with cove molding at the top, inlaid ornament above the door, and a case door with an inlaid star and an astragal top. Base with molding at the top. "1774" is inlaid on case. Composite brass dial with applied chapter ring with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals. Inside the chapter ring there is a calendar aperture, punched ornament, an engraved star motif, and an applied name plaque engraved "Jacob Godshalk Philadelphia." Thirty hour movement.
